applause!
Applause! Applause!! to all the performers who entertained flat A.B. and flat S. stanley + madison, rebekah, hannah, kennedy, aliyah and I this afternoon in des moines iowa at the civic center!!! their production of the play, based on the book, was very entertaining and educational. we all had a great time! we started off at 9:30 and stopped by mc donalds in boone for some lunch and some inside heart raising stress from sitting wearer-offers....it worked! then off to the civic center. the girls thought we were lost after i missed the parking ramp enterance but we found a nice spot a 1/2 block away. we ended up in the middle of row 5-perfect for viewing the show. the place was full of anxious youngsters waiting for a musical story. it was worth the wait! the facitity doesnt allow cameras or recorders once the show starts so we snapped only a few before they started. 5, well behaved girls sat in awe as the curtian went up....anticipating the next part of the drama.......jumping at the end when they shot confetti to signify the end of the show. all had raves! stopping off for an ice cream treat and to exercise a bit more was the final treat for the trip. we returned to daycare by 4:30pm. stanley A. and L. were waiting to hear about the show. then, with a final farewell-the 4 were split up as A. went home to live with aliyah. happy life stanley A.! happy life!!

last trip 4 stanley
Flat L. stanley is on his way home from des moines, ia. he called to say he is FINALLY done with traveling and ready to settle down....nolonger the restless syndrome of the traveling man! Rod and Cheryl Eighmy took him on a shopping spree. On the way to des moines they stopped to have ice cream at a perkins in ames ia. they took his picture with a couple of cute bunnies that are hanging out there until easter :) then it was off to slumberland for matress testing-he said he tried to jump high enough to hit the ceiling but the sales person kinda frowned about the jumping. after choosing the perect fit for their beds, they took stanley to altoona to a lowes and he got to check out a stock car and all kinds of home improvement items. then they took a beak and went to cheryls brother dean's house. that was where he called us from.....he will be returning late tonight with pictures in tow. see you soon stanley AND welcome home :) :) :)

2 return and 1 takes off again :)
flat L. stanley just can't stay home: "I'm a travelin' man!" The fagerlind family asked me to tag along for a weekend with family in Storm Lake iowa. I couldn't pass that up now could I? We got there kinda late on friday and the sun was setting on the lake so they let me out to check it out. when we returned to our room we could not get the door key to work. we tried and tried and tried! we called down dena from her room and she too, tried and tried. we called the front desk and she made a new key that lacey and maddie went to get. they tried and tried-still no luck :( the front desk lady came up to offer assistance and guess what? yep-still stuck in the hallway. she called maintance and he arrived about 10 minutes later.....he tried his key, he tried the master key, he tried our key AND STILL we sat in the hallway! they called the head guy at his house-no answer. they called him on his cell-no answer! finally i was ready to try anything so i tried the key then i tried sliding under the door but without anyone to lift me up..i could not open it. i did however notice that the outside door to the patio was still open and the front desk clerk walked around and got inside and then opened the door. 1 hour wait in the hallway and we are ready for bed; we have yet to wait for the guy who can really fix the door though so we watched sponge bob. at 10pm he arrived reprogrammed the door locks, everything worked s0000 off to sleep we went! The next morning, while they were taking turns getting their swim wear on, bailey kept me entertained with the full length mirror-we played peek-a-boo and where is stanley :) karlee helped make sure I ate a well balanced breakfast. Then, it was off to the hotel's water park for some fun! bailey and lisa took me down the yellow slide! i got to hang out at the tables with aunt dena and uncle bill and cousins wendy and tony....they made sure i didnt wander off! i did sneak off to get some ice-boy does it come out fast!!! had to sit out from swimming the rest of the morning for that stunt :( it was such a warm day that they all decided we needed some fresh air and we took a walk down the beach to new innovated park! i went down this roller slide with karlee, maddie and abbey(tony helped too). i got dizzy on the tire swing with nick and lilliana. AND, i played with bailey in the infant crawl tubes. when we got back to the hotel we got to swim a bit more before getting dressed and heading off to supper. Pizza! boy do they know me or what?! maddie shared her bread sticks with me and abbey shared her pop-ummm i like pop! then it was back to the hotel for more swimming and then a bedtime snack. i was kinda restless so tyler took me down to the weight room to work off some of it off. the fagerlind's were very thankful. I went right to sleep like a good boy after that :) the next morning we set to task loading everything back up into the van to head home. on the way lisa let me stop and check out the light house that sits on the edge of town. it was an hour ride home so i napped a bit. at home, we found the eighmy family ( rod, cheryl, john and jessica) waiting on the porch with girl scout cookies. cheryl asked who I am and then asked if i could go along with them to deliver the rest of the boxes, and if i could ride with them to des moines. i've never been to des moines! lisa said sure but that i had to take a few minutes and update the blog 1st. well, off i go again. see ya soon!

yeah-2 return with a smile!
Flat stanley A. and L. returned with lots of smiles, hugs and adventure stories...and yet, heavy hearts for those they miss* had so many good times :) flat stanley A's last stop was Edwardsville, Illinoise. there he stayed with the chapmans: Josie, Emily, Abby, Evan and Lucy. they took him shopping in St Louis MO-a whole nother state!!! It was a long ride in the car but we sang some songs and played some games to pass the time. On my last day they all took me out for pizza...MY FAVORITE! they chose cheese this time. with hugs goodbye and good wishes they gently placed me in a new envelope with a sandwich and some water to get me by.
Flat stanley L. slept off his trip for 3 days though - apologizing for the delay in this post :) :)
BUT< Oh the time he had! he visited atlanta ga and went to work in a huge skyscraper with sutton. during the evenings he spent hanging out watching movies and playing with all their pets. his last stop was fredericksburg VA. where he got to stay with crystal and gary smith. WOW! where to start??? "crystal and gary are fun! fun! fun! on the 1st day they took me out metal detecting. whats that? well, they use this very cool machine that they hold in their hands and it has mangets and gadgets inside that can tell when metal objects are under the dirt and it makes a beeping sound when it does find something. it's like it has infered eyes! the woods that they took me to was a civil war battlefield. we wondered around alot! we didnt find anything that day but it was something new i had not done before and i enjoyed it completely. when we returned to their house their dog chicklette was waiting with open paws with licks and snuggles for all! she is so soft and fluffy. what a pretty color too! chicklette showed me the fish tank-boy if i could only jump in there i thought! but, she told me crystal and gary might get upset and since i dont know how to swim (and chicklette doesnt either) that it was safer just watching the experts do it-like nemo and marvil. they tucked me in for the night with promises of a big day ahead...boy was it. they took me into washington d.c. the capital!!!! when we arrived i was starving so we went to have flat bread and eggs-yummy! then we went past some great buildings: the capital, the lincoln memorial and the pentagon. they explained to me about these government structures and what goes on inside. such busy places they are! later that afternoon we went metal detecting with gary's daughter mindy. crystal would toss me up into the wind and where i landed they looked. this time we found treasure-struck gold! or silver i guess it is....bullets, belt buckles, rivits from uniforms from real actual soldiers! mindy told me about the civil and the history of VA-there is so much to learn! i brought home a rivet, a buckle and a metal ball that some of the soldiers used instead of bullets. i told gary he could keep the bullets for his vast collection as a thank you for taking me so many places :) he appreciated that very much! these items are 150 years old! i cannot wait to show the kids today and see their faces when they touch something sooo old-course, they sit on lisa's lap..is that close??? oops! sorry :( me bad :( anyway, flat stanley A. and i are hoping we see the return of the rest of our friends soon. if you happen to see them tell tehm to hurry! our concert is fastly approaching! a HUGE thank you flat S. and AB for helping with the map while we were gone! we appreciate you!

wow what a ride i'm having!!
what an adventure :) hi again, im flat a. stanley.....i have been a busy boy! after leaving aliyahs home i went to visit cousins in omaha nebraska. i got too see soo many relatives! we played and had pizza-I LOVE PIZZA! then they bundled me up for the long ride over the pacific ocean. i got to ride in an air plane and everything-It Was Great!! i could hear the engines even though i couldnt see anything from inside my envelope. i dreamed of what the clouds would look like way up in the sky. i was hoping for a window seat, of course but was put in the cargo hold instead;maybe next time. i arrived in a strange land-singapore! beautiful! emily and her mom took me to see the library and i got to have school lunch with emily and jacob-forget what the kids all tell you about school lunches being tasteless because it was pretty good. i got to see the ocean for the first time-amazing! huge! emily, jacob, andrew and dani took me to the beach where we could see all kinds of ships ( i even got to ride on one). we searched for sea shells-there is a picture of ryan holding the ones i was hoping to keep...but as sea shells are heavy i decided to let them keep them as a memory of my visit. after a fun time at the beach they took me out to a hardees! who would have thought they would have a hardees there too?? it looks different than ours in the states but still good fast food :) it was warm there and nice to get out and about after the plane ride and i loved spening time with more of aliyahs cousins! well...i am pretty tired and need to rest before i am off again-hopeto see you all soon! kisses and hugs! stanley A.
