yeah-2 return with a smile!

Flat stanley A. and L. returned with lots of smiles, hugs and adventure stories...and yet, heavy hearts for those they miss* had so many good times :) flat stanley A's last stop was Edwardsville, Illinoise. there he stayed with the chapmans: Josie, Emily, Abby, Evan and Lucy. they took him shopping in St Louis MO-a whole nother state!!! It was a long ride in the car but we sang some songs and played some games to pass the time. On my last day they all took me out for pizza...MY FAVORITE! they chose cheese this time. with hugs goodbye and good wishes they gently placed me in a new envelope with a sandwich and some water to get me by.
Flat stanley L. slept off his trip for 3 days though - apologizing for the delay in this post :) :)
BUT< Oh the time he had! he visited atlanta ga and went to work in a huge skyscraper with sutton. during the evenings he spent hanging out watching movies and playing with all their pets. his last stop was fredericksburg VA. where he got to stay with crystal and gary smith. WOW! where to start??? "crystal and gary are fun! fun! fun! on the 1st day they took me out metal detecting. whats that? well, they use this very cool machine that they hold in their hands and it has mangets and gadgets inside that can tell when metal objects are under the dirt and it makes a beeping sound when it does find something. it's like it has infered eyes! the woods that they took me to was a civil war battlefield. we wondered around alot! we didnt find anything that day but it was something new i had not done before and i enjoyed it completely. when we returned to their house their dog chicklette was waiting with open paws with licks and snuggles for all! she is so soft and fluffy. what a pretty color too! chicklette showed me the fish tank-boy if i could only jump in there i thought! but, she told me crystal and gary might get upset and since i dont know how to swim (and chicklette doesnt either) that it was safer just watching the experts do it-like nemo and marvil. they tucked me in for the night with promises of a big day ahead...boy was it. they took me into washington d.c. the capital!!!! when we arrived i was starving so we went to have flat bread and eggs-yummy! then we went past some great buildings: the capital, the lincoln memorial and the pentagon. they explained to me about these government structures and what goes on inside. such busy places they are! later that afternoon we went metal detecting with gary's daughter mindy. crystal would toss me up into the wind and where i landed they looked. this time we found treasure-struck gold! or silver i guess it is....bullets, belt buckles, rivits from uniforms from real actual soldiers! mindy told me about the civil and the history of VA-there is so much to learn! i brought home a rivet, a buckle and a metal ball that some of the soldiers used instead of bullets. i told gary he could keep the bullets for his vast collection as a thank you for taking me so many places :) he appreciated that very much! these items are 150 years old! i cannot wait to show the kids today and see their faces when they touch something sooo old-course, they sit on lisa's lap..is that close??? oops! sorry :( me bad :( anyway, flat stanley A. and i are hoping we see the return of the rest of our friends soon. if you happen to see them tell tehm to hurry! our concert is fastly approaching! a HUGE thank you flat S. and AB for helping with the map while we were gone! we appreciate you!
